Fire damages Hyndman home
HYNDMAN, Pa. — A two-story residential structure caught fire Friday night at the corner of Clarence and George streets in Hyndman.
Witnesses said no one was hurt in the fire, which was reported at 8:39 p.m. and located at 214 Clarence St. One witness said a family dog was believed to have been trapped inside the multi-family structure. The upstairs apartment unit was occupied when the fire broke out but officials said everyone made it out safely.
Volunteer fire departments from Hyndman, LaVale, Ellerslie and New Baltimore, Pa., also responded to the scene, as did Hyndman ambulance and the American Red Cross.
The state fire marshal’s office is investigating the incident, police said. No further information was available.
