Keyser business, suppliers battle cancer

KEYSER — Country Classics Ladies Shop is dedicated to helping find a cure for breast cancer. Year after year, Betty Howell and Tonya Tettenburn work with three of their suppliers to help raise funds and awareness for breast cancer.

Vera Bradley Designs, one of their most passionate suppliers, has been committed to helping find a cure for breast cancer since 1994.

In 1998, the company established the Vera Bradley Foundation for Breast Cancer, which is committed to eradicating breast cancer as a life-threatening disease by providing financial support for research and research-related projects. The foundation raises funds through general donations from the public, employees, sales consultants, an annual golf classic and retailers like Country Classics.

Year-round proceeds from the sale of Vera Bradley handbags and accessories in the breast cancer awareness pattern (like the present pattern, Pinwheel Pink) help to raise the funds for this cause.

Country Classics supports the efforts of the Vera Bradley Foundation for the fight against breast cancer. They also have an in-store Pink Ribbon Days once a year and the proceeds go directly to this foundation.

Country Classics joins with the French Dressing Jean company and participates in their Try the fit ... Help the cause event every October. Just for trying on a pair of FDJ jeans, $1 is donated by the company in the customers name to breast cancer research and awareness.

The third company is the Brighton company that designs an exquisite bracelet every year. Customers purchase the limited edition Power of Pink bracelet of which $5 of the purchase price is donated to breast cancer.

Betty and Tonya of Country Classics are relentless in their support of this worthy cause. They have chosen to do this in honor of someone close to them who was touched by this disease and for ail of the courageous ones who face breast cancer.

They also want to remind you that when you make a contribution, not only are you giving to a worthy cause, you’re also declaring yourself a partner in raising breast cancer awareness. During this holiday season, they invite you to stop by their store and shop for a cause simply by purchasing one of the above mentioned products. Country Classics is located in the Polish Pines Complex on U.S. Route 220 South, Keyser. Business hours are Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m.
