Potomac State, Cecil battle to 1-1 deadlock

4-3-1 Catamounts visit Patrick Henry Tuesday

KEYSER, W.Va. — Cecil College’s Rachel Hultman’s unassisted goal with 13:05 remaining tied the game at 1-1 against Potomac State College, where it remained after two overtimes Saturday afternoon at Stayman Field.

After a scoreless first half, Potomac State’s Jessica Elliott gave the Catamounts a 1-0 lead with an unassisted goal at the 21:08 mark.

Hultman’s goal came eight minutes and three seconds later.

Potomac State had one more shot on goal at 9-8.

The Catamounts’ Lauren Trenter made seven saves while Cecil’s Nicole MacDonald stopped six.

Potomac State (4-3-1) visits Patrick Henry in Purcellville, Va., Tuesday at 3 p.m.
