Sarah Growden Farrell-Rennie [Cumberland]

CUMBERLAND — Sarah Growden Farrell-Rennie, 74, of Cumberland, passed away Thursday, Oct. 9, 2008 at her home.

Born Nov. 25, 1933 in Cumberland, she was the daughter of the late Charles William McDermott and Elesta (Growden) McDermott. Mrs. Farrell-Rennie was also preceded in death by her first husband, Thomas W. Farrell; and her second husband, Wilbert Rennie.

A homemaker, Sarah was a member of the Church of Saint Patrick.

She is survived by her daughters, Suzanne Hackworth, Fort Myers, Fla. and Mary Virginia “Ginger” Kolasky, Melbourne, Fla.; her sons, Timothy J. Farrell, P. Frederick Farrell, and Thomas W. Farrell, all of Cumberland; her sister, Jane Crippen, Cumberland; as well as 12 grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren.

Friends will be received at the Adams Family Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur St., Cumberland, AdamsFamilyFuneralHome.com on Monday, Oct. 13, 2008 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Tuesday, Oct. 14, 2008 at 11 a.m. with Monsignor Thomas Bevan officiating.

Interment will be at the Maryland State Veterans Cemetery at Rocky Gap.
