Jones, Luciw lead Frankfort to 36-14 win

CLARKSBURG, W.Va. — Frankfort’s Jame Jones scored three touchdowns and Joey Luciw had two as the Frankfort Falcons defeated Liberty Harrison 36-14 Friday at Liberty Harrison.

The Falcons improved to 2-0 and visits Grafton, also 2-0, Friday evening.

Against Liberty Harrison, Jones rushed one yard for one touchdown and passed 76 yards to Logan Wolford and 18 to Christian Brown for the other two scores. His rushing score and pass to Wolford both came in the first quarter. His 18-yard pass to Brown came in the second quarter.

Luciw ran 24 yards for a touchdown in the second quarter and had a 19-yarder in the third quarter.

Liberty Harrison scored on a Braiden Fahey’s third quarter 40-yard interception return and Donnie Mitchell-Hairston’s four-yard run in the fourth quarter.

Jones was 7-of-8 for 180 yards passing and Luciw finished with 66 yards on seven runs. Shawn Gillespie added 52 yards on nine rushes. Wolford had 104 receiving yards on three catches and Brown finished with 44 yards on two receptions.

The Falcons’ balanced attack outgained Liberty Harrison 405-150, 221 by air and 184 on the ground.
