Open House

W.Va. Family Preservation Services holds open house

ROMNEY, W.Va. - Family Preservation Services of West Virginia Inc. now occupies its new office at 285 W. Birch Lane, where an open house was held recently to raise community awareness.

The agency provides home, school and community-based services to children in both Hampshire and Mineral counties.

Established in 1992, FPS of West Virginia is licensed by the Department of Health and Human Resources and is the largest provider of community-based services in the area.

FPS provides services to children, adolescents, adults and families through local, state and federal program initiatives. The agency works with state and local teams to identify needs and to make appropriate services available to rural and urban communities.

Since 2002, FPS of West Virginia has provided services in eight counties, with regional offices located in Romney and Moorefield.

Programs include individual and family therapy, counseling, behavior management, substance abuse counseling, basic living skills, targeted case management and socially necessary services.
