MELROSE, Mass. — Mrs. Beatrice V. “Ginny” (Geddes) Hartman, 91, of Melrose, Mass., died Wednesday afternoon, April 16, 2008, in the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital, Melrose, Mass.
Mrs. Hartman was born on Aug. 17, 1916, and was raised in Altoona, Pa. She came to Cumberland, and was a weaver for a cloth manufacturer where she met her future husband. She and the late Louis R. “Bill” Hartman, shared 41 years of marriage. She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church, Cumberland, having lived there for 50 years. She had recently lived in Melrose for the past nine years.
Ginny was the wife of the late Louis R. “Bill” Hartman; devoted mother of Carol A. Wiggers, of Indianola, Wash., Sue Hartman, of Melrose, and Sarah K. Reardon and her husband Walter, of Merrimac; dear sister of John Geddes, of Colorado Springs, Colo., Pauline Carles, of Altoona, Pa., and the late Mae Weaver and Chet Geddes; loving grandmother of Ian Wiggers, of Washington, and great-grandson, Logan Frost, of Washington.
Funeral services are private.
