RICHMOND, Va. — Anderson Blackwell “Mack” Cosby III, 87, of Richmond, formerly of Oakland, Md., died Jan. 29, 2010, at his home.
Born Oct. 27, 1922, in Richmond, “Mack” is survived by Marelyn, his wife of 61 years; and five children, Mary Ellen Twigg-Holm and husband Bud of Midlothian, Anderson Blackwell IV (Andy) and wife Andre of Mandeville, La., Peter and wife Mary (Pennington) of Berlin, Md., Joanne (Ashby) and husband Jim of Oakland, and Douglas and wife Laurie of Suffolk; 20 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Pearl (Moore) and Anderson II; and brothers, Robert and Lynwood.
He was a graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School in Richmond and the Merchant Marine Academy. He worked for Dominion Power/VEPCO in supervisory roles at Yorktown, Mount Storm and Portsmouth stations and corporate offices in Richmond.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 4, 2010.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 5, 2010, at Woody’s Funeral Home in Midlothian.
