CUMBERLAND — Irene Malamphy, 80, of Cumberland, died Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2010, at the Golden Living Center.
Born Nov. 6, 1929, in Pottsville, Pa., she was the daughter of the late John and Tekla (Horun) Chalanycz.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Wallace F. Malamphy; and two sisters, Anna Setlock and Mary Yourey.
Before retirement, Mrs. Malamphy had been a registered nurse.
Survivors include two brothers, John Chalanycz and Nichalas Chalanycz; a stepdaughter, Mary Frances Wolff; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Upchurch Funeral Home, P.A., 202 Greene St., Cumberland, on Friday from noon until 1 p.m.
The funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. in the funeral home with the Rev. Edward C. Chapman officiating.
Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park.
