Ryan Geatz, 4, of LaVale and Delaney Mickey, 5, of Ridgeley, W.Va., participate in a “moving on” ceremony. The two children have been enrolled in Footprints of the Future family child care in LaVale, operated by Karen Robison, since being infants. They will attend kindergarten in the fall at their hometown schools. The child care center uses the Maryland Model for School Readiness.
