9/13 - Women injured in two-car crash
LONACONING — Law enforcement officers said they are unsure why a Barton motorist crossed the double yellow line, but the action resulted in a head-on collision that sent two people to Cumberland Memorial Hospital.
Kristy Ann MacDonald, 30, was traveling on state Route 36 south of Westmar Middle School at approximately 4:38 p.m. Friday when, for unknown reasons, her 2004 Subaru crossed the double yellow line and drove into the path of a 2003 Chevrolet van driven by Joyce E. Zuravnsky, 54, of Somerset, Pa.
A police report marked MacDonald at fault but indicated no charges would be filed.
Allegany County Bureau of Police is investigating the incident. Good Will Volunteer Fire Department and EMS units from Tri-Towns and George’s Creek responded to the scene.
