MCCOOLE — One person was taken to Memorial Hospital on Friday afternoon following a motorcycle collision with a deer on state Route 135 near McCoole, according to the Allegany County 911 Joint Communications Division.
Jonathan L. Preston, 20, of Barton, was traveling west on state Route 135 when a deer crossed into the path of his motorcycle, Allegany County Bureau of Police said.
Police said Preston lost control of his 2008 Ducati motorcycle and skidded approximately 150 feet before coming to a stop.
McCoole Volunteer Fire Company and ambulance responded to the 11:58 a.m. incident, which was investigated by the Allegany County Bureau of Police.
