CUMBERLAND — Roy Calvin Duff and Joy Carolyn (Miller) Duff celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Tuesday, Nov. 23, 2010. The couple was married in St. Mary’s Catholic Church and honeymooned in the Poconos in Pennsylvania. Following their marriage, they took up residence in Cumberland, where they have lived ever since.
Originally from Maugansville, Joy graduated from Hagerstown High School and Hagerstown Business School. She then worked at The Hagerstown Rubber Company, Pony Express, Supreme Concrete and Wright Contracting.
Roy graduated from Fort Hill High School and served in the United States Navy. He worked as a sales agent the majority of his life and retired from the United Insurance Company of America.
Roy and Carolyn have one son, Scot C. Duff, who resides in Williamsport and is married to Jane (Shupe) Duff. They also have one grandson, Andrew Calvin Duff, who is the joy of their lives.
