RIDGELEY, W.Va. — James E, Briner and Judith Ann (McKenty) Briner were married Oct. 22, 1960, at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Cumberland, Md. The Mass was said by Father Frederick Becker, OFM Cap., Judy’s great uncle.
On Oct. 22, 2010, Judy and Jim celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with dinner at the Texas Grill House, LaVale, Md. They were accompanied by Mary Ann Briner, sister-in-law, and Kathleen Wolz, Jim’s sister. The restaurant provided the couple and their guests with free desserts.
According to the Briners, “The food and service was just great and couldn’t have been better anywhere! We really enjoyed being there for our anniversary.”
