CUMBERLAND — Robert E. Engelbach and Melva A. (Richard) Engelbach were married Jan. 7, 1961, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Cumberland. The wedding party included Kenneth Engelbach as the best man and Pauline Crosser as the maid of honor. Other attendants were Donald Doss, Charles Delorcey, Kaylene Hiatt, Veronica (Martin) Valentine, and Cindy (Perkins) Crosser.
After 20 years of moving from Air Force base to Air Force base, Robert retired from the Air Force and brought his family back to their hometown of Cumberland in 1975, where he was the vice president of First Peoples Credit Union. Robert and Melva still reside in Cumberland.
Robert and Melva are the proud parents and grandparents of Karen (Engelbach) Shanklin, daughter, and her spouse Page T. Shanklin, Sr.; Robert E. Engelbach Jr., son, and his spouse, Jennifer (Defibaugh) Engelbach; Colin A. Engelbach, son, and his spouse, Tammy (Forebeck) Engelbach; Mandi Davis Skerbetz, granddaughter, and her spouse, Justin Skerbetz; Dustin P. Davis, grandson; and Joshua A. Engelbach, grandson
