NEWPORT NEWS, Va. — Mr. and Mrs. John J. McLean of Newport News are celebrating their 70th wedding anniversary today, July 22. Many family and friends, locally and from out-of-state, will extend congratulations to John and Louise during an open house at their home this afternoon.
The McLeans were married July 22, 1942, at SS. Peter and Paul Roman Catholic Church, Cumberland, Md.
Mrs. McLean is the former Marie Louise Beaulieu of Cumberland.
The couple have seven children, Pamela Anderson and husband Gerald of North, Va.; Jennifer Fisher and husband Boyd of Dacula, Ga.; Deborah Jo Kirkland of Jacksonville, Fla.; Patrick McLean, Michael McLean and wife Brenda, Timothy McLean and wife Kathy, and Joel McLean and wife Michele, all of Newport News.
John and Louise have 20 grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
