MURRELLS INLET, S.C. — Gary and Janet Smith Crabtree celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Aug. 17, 2012. Formerly from Cumberland and Waldorf, Md., they now live in Murrells Inlet, where they are enjoying the good life after retiring from Giant Food of Maryland.
Gary graduated from Fort Hill High School in 1959 and Janet graduated from Allegany High School in 1961. They were high school sweethearts.
In their wedding party were JoAnn Torbet, matron of honor; Andy Petenbrink, best man; and John Apple.
Janet and Gary have two daughters, Terri Crabtree Pineda and husband, George, and Tracy Crabtree Lee and husband Kenny. They also have five grandchildren, George Jr., Rachel and Nicholas Pineda and Braden and Evan Lee.
