February 28, 2010 — CUMBERLAND — On Nov. 24, 2009, Glen C. Pyles and Donna (Brelsford) Pyles celebrated their golden wedding anniversary with a family dinner held at Oscar’s Restaurant in Cumberland.
The couple was married Nov. 24, 1959, in the Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church, Short Gap, W.Va., with the Rev. Carl Burrows officiating. Evers McCoy and Ann (Hiett) Rowan were the attendants. Gary Pyles, late brother of the groom, and Robert (Bob) Barnes were ushers. Patsy (Spencer) Zembower provided the music.
Glen is the son of the late Odell and Edith Pyles of Fort Ashby, W.Va. Donna is the daughter of M. Frances Brelsford, Short Gap, and the late Baker Brelsford.
They have two children and four grandchildren; a daughter, Tami (Pyles) Dennis and sons Justin and Cameron Dennis, Seattle, Wash., and a son, Todd Pyles, his wife Doniele and children Brennan and Ellie Pyles of Cumberland.
Glen worked 24 1/2 years for the Kelly-Springfield Tire Co. and he retired from the Mineral County, W.Va., Board of Education Transporation Department. Donna is employed by the Allegany County Teachers’ Federal Credit Union, LaVale.
