— Pepper, a 2-year old female brindle and white hound/terrier, is full of energy and would do best in an active home environment, according to officials at the Allegany County Animal Shelter. The shelter is located at 716 Furnace St., Cumberland. Adoption hours are weekdays from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon.
